*POSTER IS A MAC USER*

In the past couple days I managed to find my copy of the Might and Magic Millennium Edition (MM4-MM7) and got all games to work (MM4-MM5 through DOSBOX, MM6-MM7 through Crossover). However, I have another problem, and I can't get the music to work in the later games.

When I insert the play disks in my Mac, iTunes pops up and automatically assembles a list of all the music that plays during MM6-MM7. I can hear them all I want on there, but I can't hear any music when I play the games. I may have to tinker with iTunes as I'm certain there is a way to disable it for the time being, but all is not lost.

I know that GOG is pretty much PC only, but I found a GOGmix on here a user made that showed how to run games on Mac/Linux, so I figured I could follow suit.

Maybe it has something to do with the disks, or I didn't have Wine configured.

if you apply the Greyface patch -- assuming that works on Macs -- you can use MP3 music instead of CD music. I think gog has some older versions of this patch already applied so you might need to update.

Additionally, you need to set PlayMP3s or MP3Music or some option to 1 in the mm6.ini file.

This worked with MM6 for me, at least, though I had some issues with M&M8 which could possibly be from me having out of ate MP3 codecs or something.
