I bought mm7 and wanted to install the grayface patch. The problem is for some reason the patch is not working. I kept on doing things like deleting and reinstaling the patch and game. But nothing works. This is strange because the mm8 patch worked perfectly.

As in it's not taking any effect. It still stays at the base resolution.

Try installing the patch and then following these steps:
1. Delete the file named mm7-rel.exe in the game's folder.
2. Download MMResTool027fix2.zip from here and extract it into the installation folder.
3. Edit the file named mmt_d3d_screen.bat to set your desired resolution, then save the changes and run it.

You have to start it running the file mmt_d3d_screen.bat: if this fails to run, I'm sorry but I can't help you further.
