Hi all,

I haven't played any of these games (only Heroes), bought them all from the last sale. I'm mostly interested in MM6-8.

I'm finishing BG2 soon, and that game being quite large, I was wondering how do MM 6,7,8 compare length-wise? I have to plan ahead you know, because I want to play Divinity Original Sin and Wasteland 2 when they come out :) I want to complete games that I start, well unless they're crap.

I also got Wizardry 6-8 any idea on them, I don't want to post the same question to another forum.

Thanks

There is a very nice webpage that can help you with questions like that :)

Anyway I can say something something about Might and Magic series. First thing you should know is that the time you need to beat the game decreases with ewer titles. MM6 is by far the longest (you can spend almost 100 h on it) and MM8 is the shortest but you'll still need ~45 hours. My favorite is MM7, perhaps it's because it was the first one I've ever played from this trilogy, perhaps it's indeed the best one. The length of MM6 is elevated because of swarming monsters - it will take a lot of time to grind all of them. In MM7 you will be more focused on quests and the main story but of course there are many monsters here too so don't think you won't fight there.

Maybe I'll take an easy landing to the world of MM and start with VII which seems to be the usual recommendation.
VI is massive, easily around the 100 hour mark if you do everything. VII and VIII are about half as long (30-40 hours first time through), with VIII being the shortest one (especially with all of the super-cheesy ways you can break the game early on).
