Hey!
I got MM VI pack a while back and I've really enjoyed playing them. However, whenever I try to open up MM 4-5, it freezes in the intro. Also, with MM 5a, Swords of Xeen, if I go into any shop or establishment and try to exit, the game freezes and wont respond. The music still plays, but I have to ALT+TAB out of there. If you guys can help, please respond. Thanks again!

Thanks for your reply. The shortcuts don't actually work for me. I have to go into dosbox and type in the commands manually. So I have to create a desktop shortcut, and then go into dosbox and run my desktop shortcut? I'm confused. I'd really love some help with this please.

No. You should have a shortcut to DOSBox that runs the correct conf file. You shouldn't type commands manually.

For example:
"D:\Games\Might and Magic 4-5\DOSBOX\DOSBox.exe" -conf "..\dosboxMM4-5.conf" -conf "..\dosboxMM4-5_singleCD.conf" -noconsole -c exit

But these should be created by GOG already. You don't have to do it manually.
Why aren't the GOG shortcuts working? Are you getting any error messages?

No, don't click or run dosboxMM45.conf

In the folder where you installed the game you should have a shortcut made already. It's called "Launch Might and Magic 4-5 - World of Xeen". See attached screenshot. Just run it. In Windows, not in Dosbox.

To run the full speech version, a shortcut should be created in your Start Menu folders.
