When I installed Might and Magic VIII, AVG detected a virus in MM8.ICD. Is this a false positive? Has anyone else ran across this? Thanks.

I Downloaded MM8 and run scans pretty frequently and my computer is virus free.

I'm pretty sure it is a false positive. After I scanned my home computer and it came up with the virus reading, I downloaded MM8 on my work computer and, as expected, got the exact same virus reading from the file. Chances are AVG is just being too oversensitive.

When in doubt I usually go to http://www.virustotal.com/ and test the file there.

If only a couple of antiviruses detect it as a virus, it is very likely a false positive.
