I have mm8 might and magic 8 day of the destroyer gog started a new game and saved my game but when I went to search for my mm8 save game files they are not showing up on my pc not in the save folder that is empty and I've looked in my documents nothing there not sure how my mm8 saved my game without any mm8 saved game files but there is none in the form of files on my pc I've never had any games where save files don't exsist but it saved my game any help with an explanation?

Have you looked in the game directory's save folder? That's where I see mine. "..\Might and Magic VIII - Day of the Destroyer\Saves"

What's your OS? Did you install the game in Program Files (or one of its variant folders), or did you install in a separate directory (ex. "C:\Games\MM8"?

I just said I did I've searched my whole pc and found no saved game files but when I run mm8 and click on load it is showing my saved games ingame but this is something that I just can't understand my saved games have no issue when saving/loading but it don't show any save files on my pc and the only reason it's an issue is becaause I wanted to use the mm8 editor but seeing there is no save files.

If you truly have searched your whole PC, then clearly they are not on your PC. I'm going to assume that means you've also searched any external drives or local networks that you might have connected to your PC for storage purposes.

Therefore, the saves are probably stored in some kind of cloud service. I believe Galaxy offers cloud saves for some games in its library, if you are using Galaxy. I don't use Galaxy and I'm not familiar with how it handles cloud saves, so I'll be stepping out now.

If you are not using Galaxy, then you'll have to answer the questions of whomever else might wander into the thread in order to have obtain assistance because the options are wide indeed.

I don't even know what galaxy is if it came with my pc windows 10 then I guess I have it if it don't then I don't have galaxy.

1) How did you acquire the game? Did you buy it from Steam, or GOG (this website), or buy a cd version (maybe from Amazon), or what?

2) If you bought it from GOG, then what steps did you take to download i? I can play the game just fine without Galaxy. Maybe he's on the GOG forums, using a web browser, talking about a game bought from the Ubi store (and heaven help him if he got it from the Ubi store). :P

The sheer fact that he found his way to this sub-forum implies he might not be using Galaxy, unless they fixed "All new threads created in Galaxy end up in General Discussion".

How exactly did you search your whole PC? Tell us like you wanted one of us to repeat that sequence of steps on a computer we've never used before. Start with which program you used, and how we should open it if we just sat down after logging in. No programs are open yet, and we don't know any hotkeys or shortcuts.
