Can someone explain to me the idea behind the devs having mobs fight you and
give you status de buffs that you cannot cure easily? Im halfway across the world
trying to level in the start of the game and ive been: Poisoned, Deseased, stat drained,
and now finally Paralyzed.

WTF did the devs want you to hate this game how many times to I need to fycking trek
back to heal some stupid status. Yes there are potions but you run out fast when
every second encounter does something to you.

Might and Magic games are such a chore to play literally devs made the game
so you absolutely hate it. I just had a character paralyzed YEP ALL THE WAY BACK
TO THE BEGGINING OF THE FYCING GAME TO CURE IT!!!!!!!!! LOLZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe the worst game design choice ever in the game, im sure the thats what the devs
had in mind you running across the world to cure 1 character so they arent totally
useless in combat.

Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. A design choice that is so bad it literally turns people away from the
game. A design choice that essientally says "No lets make less money, lets make this
game so less people buy it because im a dumb developer with a dumb idea that will
literally cost us sales." Well done New world computing, way to make a game that is
literal stress to play.

Curious what maps you have been on

My initial curiosity is more about how he is conducting combat. I've played far too many times to remember my early, inexperienced strategies, so I might be biased, but the only potions I'm usually at risk of needing are healing potions. Fixing status effects is too easy in most instances, since the game often gives you a lot of potions in the (early) areas that feature status attacks. Even my run with a Knight, Archer, Monk, and Ranger didn't have much issue with status effects that weren't instant unconsciousness/death/eradication. Basic Alchemy gives access to the most commonly needed potions, and Expert Alchemy gives access to pretty much everything else except death and paralyzation.

The dwarven barrows are pretty bad for inflicting a variety of statuses, and some of them drop you in a room with monsters right on top of you. A little turn based combat and portal abuse generally solves that, and I'm usually making trips to haul all the status healing potions back to town to sell them.

The lower level red dwarf mines could be an issue, but again lots of potions litter the area and you should have some idea of what you are in for before long.

Mount Nighon could be rough, but it definitely isn't early game material; you'll get wrecked before reaching it if you are both weak and inexperienced. Same with Titan's Stronghold.

I'm actually coming up blank for any area that doesn't have an easily accessible temple. Maybe Deyja, if you consider that one zombie encounter in the road; iirc the temple is in a different set of houses than the stable. The last dungeon, I guess, depending on your party composition.

The only paralyzing that takes place that I can think of is the second level of the mines (in the early game). If you don't do invisible (and I don't) to complete the mission of freezing the lift, then you need some muscle to complete that level. But potions are laying around . Had to run a couple times because of being unlucky with two or three players paralyzed. But the Temple was pretty close. And poison is annoying but that about all.
MM7 just isn't that tough. Even 6 isn't bad once you know the lay of the land.

Agreed. I usually used manual evasion and walls to deal with the medusas.

I was simply offering a friendly reminder that insults aren't necessary.

A deep intellectual comment/conversation isn't always necessary either. If the post bothers you that much, I suggest skipping it and moving on to something more pleasant/interesting.

Well, there are spells to cure effects, so take a priest or paladin in your group.
Also, besides potions there are scrolls.

Don't stand being beatten. i guess you play bad, keeping in turn-by-turn mode. You must use real-time mod to evade mobs and their projectiles, and go turn-by-turn when you have evaded and are in a good spot, calming down.

For freezing the lift, I don't normally do invisibility, as I usually do not have it at that point, anyway. I just run in, take out maybe one medusa (if I have to), freeze the lift and run out. I rarely fight my way through either level, for that matter.

Yea, you can out run 'em. But one has a Pendant that is useful later that I want. (If the Empress doesn't blend into a wall which can happen.) And with time and care they can be taken out at a not too high level. You need some to take the bait and follow you alone.
