Hello,

Is the MM7:FBAH on GoG the regular/normal version that was released. I have this game on disc but cannot make it work.
So I was wondering if the version on GoG would actually work if it is "upgraded" version of the game.

The games on GoG tend to be released with new installers with settings that most often allow them to work with modern OSs. If that's what you deem as upgraded, I'm pretty sure it is. Why I like GoG and why I actually re-buy games I have on CD, is they do the hard work of experimenting and tweaking the settings in order to make them work with Vista, 7, 8 etc.

In short, its the original game but packaged in a new way that *should* work on modern machines. They also come pre-installed with all patches, so it should be ready to play straight out of install.

The 'upgraded' version is MM7 with the GrayFace patch.
It is not included in GOG version, you have to add it.

Hi,

I'm sorry for being vague what I meant. My concern was that the GOG version of Might and Magic 7: For Blood and Honor wouldn't work on my PC.

I tried it out and it works like a charm. Tried on
Windows 7 64bit Professional
Radeon 5770
8Gb RAM
AMD P2 X2 550

and also on

WIndows 7 64bit Home
Radeon 7950
16Gb RAM
i7 3930k

Not a single problem or crash.

Also after installing GrayFace's patch one must go to the game folder and change the file "mm7.ini" settings playmp3 to 1 for background music.

Ps. Off topic BUT hooray For BAK pack, MOO pack, UW pack, Dungeon Keepers, MoM, Fragile Alliance and Syndicate Wars! Loving GOG so far. Never thought I'd be playing and enjoying all the games from my childhood again.
Glad to have you with us! Enjoy everything GoG has to offer!
