In Dwarven Barrows II there don't seem to be any enemies left (no sounds, nothing on wizard eye, no rooms left to discover) but my danger indicators remain yellow.
If I walk to the eastern wall of the eastern square room, there is a spot where the indicators turn red. Suggesting maybe an enemy is stuck in this wall.

Is this a known bug? Are there any spells like Ring Of Fire in MM6 that hit through walls (IIRC they "fixed" any such spells in 7)?

I guess I cannot complete the quest to clear out the barrows or at least risk wasting time trying - I might just give up and hope that the dungeon resets after a year or two.

I'm assuming we're talking about the haunted mansion here, does your map look exactly like this?

have you discovered the cellar and everything else?

Set Fire Ball for auto, then aim where you get a red alarm (form a good distance, if possible) and Hit "S" , the fire ball should hit the wall and act like ring of fire.
If you have not missed a room, then the enemy may have blended with a wall. You can go out of the building and come back in to reset the enemy in an open location.
The Dungeon won't reset

I think a rat or a zombie is stuck behind a wall, yes.

That said, I'm pretty certain there is no quest to clear the barrows. While empty barrows are significantly easier to navigate (and the loot is nice if you're low level), you just need to get to the relevant point in the barrows to do what you've been asked to do.
I too have seen that.

That barrow does have a secret area, of course. The radar shows a drain (where we cannot go) leaving it and turning to run along behind the far wall of the last open room. Though it looks to be just too far clear for a red indication, I do wonder if this could be where the problematic enemy can spawn.
Thanks all!

I misread the Haunted Mansion quest; I thought it was to clear the Dwarven Barrows!

> Set Fire Ball for auto

Thanks. I don't have that yet, but good to know it can be used for a bug like this :)

That sounds likely. It does occasionally make a noise, it's either a rat or bat, and I guess a rat can fit down that drain!

Ah. Yes, that's a different quest in a quite different part of the Barrow Downs. :)
Be careful in the mansion, as it is VERY haunted.

Bats usually don't fly that close to the ground, but a rat can definitely fit. I had one run away because of low health once and escape into the drain before I could finish it off.

If you are in the Barrows. There is a rat that blends into the wall. It is the three levels connected by the sewer tunnel (and in one of which there is a quest item). The rat blends into one of the walls in the middle level. I've gotten once in a while by auto setting all my magic players and banging the wall by hitting "A" or "S" right in front of the wall. Hope it works.
