I have a problem with my Wizard obtaining the Learning Master skill.

I have solved the Golem Quest and got my Sorcerer promoted to Wizard.

My Wizard is a Learning Expert.

I have travelled to Nighon.

I spent skill points to increase Learning skill to 7.

I use the nearby fountain to increase my Intellect to 76.

Now when I visit the Master of Learning in her home, despite fulfilling her requirements,
I cannot master Learning!

Is this a bug? Is there a way I can hack the savegame to get around it?

I am using Greyface Patch 2.0.

My savegame:

Don't forget to back up your own quiksave.mm7 if you check out my file!

Thanks in advance!

IIRC temporary buffs don't count for those requirements. You need to have at least 50 Intellect as "white number".

Sarisio is correct.

I haven't opened your save, but I'm guessing I know the problem.

Your "base" stat has to meet the requirement. A temporary stat boost, like from a fountain or a Day of the Gods spell, will not count toward meeting the requirement.

The white number is what is checked, not the green number that displays when you have a temporary boost.

Equipment that boosts a stat (ex. a ring that gives +5 Int) will be added into your "base" value, so they can help you get the needed level of Int.
