Playing T/C/S/M, Light. I have not yet pursued the soul jars in Castle Gloaming, but found the set while cleaning out Thunderfist Mountain and had forgotten they were there. I.e., two sets. And IIRC, this will be sufficient to complete the quest even without going to Castle Gloaming. Is this a known glitch in the game ... that both sets appear irrespective of choosing Light or Dark? Does anyone know? Just curious.
If I remember right yes there is two sets of soul jars one in the dungeon to learn light magic and one in the dungeon to learn dark magic. Even though they look the same I believe they are actually different quest items both sued for different quest depending on if you are good or evil.

I believe the two different boxes of soul jars are interchangeable. However, I'm pretty sure the jars aren't in The Breeding Grounds (dark side dungeon), they are in Thunderfist Mountain (warlock home). You find the Divine Intervention book in The Breeding Grounds.
The boxes are interchangeable. I just completed that quest without having to go into Castle Gloaming.
You can take any of the case jars - Thunderfist or Castle Gloaming... Both works to complete the mission. There are many short cuts for the other quests. But you will not get enough ex for high levels like 200 or 300 level

Indeed, I was able to avoid Castle Gloaming entirely the last game. (Next game I'll probably play Dark, so I'll have to go there.) But I've never even gotten to level 100 ... not necessary to the game, IMO.

Level 100???

Whaaaaat??? Just how do you get to this level when the game is basically over when you hit level 40?

If you do the majority of the quests and kill most things you come across, then you should be hitting level 70 pretty easily.

True! I will say that this is true if you take your time in each dungeon to kill every monster. If you played this game many times, it's just so tempting to rush and kill just a few enemies that block your way.

Last time I finished the game, I remember my team being lvl 64~67. And I was taking my time with the dungeons. So you're right.

I usually end up in the 60s or 70s. Last game I finished around 64 (IIRC), but could have trained to 73 before going for the final objective. I've never gotten anywhere near 100.
I'm usually a Level 80 player.
To be honest, at that level, the game gets pretty easy and defeating monster mechanical. Monster grind I guess it is called.

Honestly, the game becomes that way when you get a Knight in the party with a Vampiric weapon. Just mash the "A" button and win.
