As the title says, I've had zero success enchanting items. My water is at expert level five. I know I can't enchant weapons at this point, because you need to be at the master level, but I keep trying to enchant rings, hats, etc., and all I get is a broken item and a loss of spell points.

Any hints?

There are three points you should be aware of:

1. Your Water Skill is only 5. Which means 50% chance of failure while enchanting items.
2. You can't enchant item which already has some magic property.
3. You can't enchant item with base value (which you can see by right-clicking on item) below 450. For weapons - below 250.

I knew all of those except #3.... that's exactly the problem, as I was using cheap items because I knew I had a 50% chance of failure.
