Please help! I pressed some button accidentally (not sure what), and now my characters move slower going forward than going backward, in MM6. Not sure what I did...and the manual isn't too helpful.

What happened?
Maybe this will help

Shift + Arrow: Run (or walk if Always run is selected)

I think you need greyface's patch to enable always run in MM6
Thanks; I figured it out. Next time I went in the game, it was as normal. I must have accidentally pressed some key combo that toggled off "Always Run"...reloading didn't fix it, but closing out & coming back in did.

Also, I did not knowingly install greyface's patch (although it may have come with the GoG setup), but I do indeed have always run; holding down Shift slows me down.

"Always run" option has always been in the game, at least in the GOG edition.
What Greyface's patch adds, among other cool things such as mouse interaction, is a button for double the speed of the game.
Ahhh, that may be worth checking out, thanks :)

For future reference of others who may come across this as well, apparently "Caps Lock" is what toggles the "Always Run" option.
if you are in normal speed mode, pressing and holding the shift key while moving forward allows you to walk very slowly, which can be useful when crossing a narrow bridge for example.
"Always run mode" is not always beneficial. When you are running the delay between your attacks is doubled.
