Hi,

So I just did 2 solo-knight playthroughs in MM6:

- One knight was dual-wielding daggers. He couldn't hit anything to save his life. Even at level 50+ his recovery rate was painfully slow and he would hit less than 50% of the time. I seriously thought that my knight was blind and that his arms were broken. I just couldn't understand how useless he was. Nevertheless I made it pretty far into the game.

- The other knight just holds one dagger. His other hand is empty. It made all the difference in the world! I mean, wow! I can hit my enemies consistently and the recovery rate is much faster. And the damage is only slightly lower compared to 2 daggers as well.

Conclusion: Don't dual wield! It gimps your character!

The important thing is that it looks cool and the chicks dig it.
Another thread suggests that the Grayface patch improves dual wielding:

Yup ^

The dual wielding in MM6 was nerfed, whether on purpose (the developers thought it too powerful otherwise) or as an oversight is not known. In MM7 and 8 its behaviour is "normal". The patch I linked to in the other thread changes dual wielding in MM6 so that it behaves similarly to MM7 and 8.
