I'm having a problem with running this game in Linux (using Lutris), but it's a very specific problem: everything works great, EXCEPT that the following keys do nothing: A, S, Space, Enter. And I cannot for the life of me think of why ONLY those 4 keys don't work.

I've tried fresh install from the GOG download, I've tried with the Grayface patch, and I've even tried sourcing a direct copy of the old discs (both fresh and with Grayface). It's ALWAYS the same 4 keys that don't work.

Anyone have any idea?

So it turns out it was just a runner problem. I've been using mostly proton based runners lately, but running down the list of available runners, I found that "lutris-fshack-6.21-6-x86_64" runner sorts out the problem completely!

Thank you, @yuritau. I was having a similar problem with my game. everything worked except for the button to enable turn based combat. remapping wouldn't work either. except the resolution for me was to switch to lutris-7.2-2x86_64.

Had this exact problem too except also the X key. Thanks for the solution.

I don't understand how anything could cause this... those are very specific keys that all do actions in game but clicking to interact still works. Really weird.

Same problem, was hoping to find a fix.
