So trying to leave the first town I get a question about the password (manual page, line, word), in other words "yee olde piracy protection".

The problem is that it does not correspond with the provided manual.
The other question is, isn't this patched out in the GOG version?

Thanks, the doc is provided in the install directory. It would maybe make more sense to have it on the game page or to mention it to the player during the install.

Yeah, GOG does not do a good job of letting players know where these keys are. It's one of the most common questions in this forum.
