Hi all, was looking for some help.

Playing MM3, pretty close to end-game, one card left to get. Wasn't paying attention, think I was finishing Tomb of Terror, but all my characters have lost around 50-60 points of their stats. Fighter had a Might of close to 75, now almost all his stats are 3! Same for around 4 other characters. No aging, but I went to Fountain of Youth just to make sure. No curses that I can see, went to the temples as well. Anyone know what could have caused this or better yet how to fix? I only have the one save, no way to go back to an earlier time. Tried downloading a character editor but it won't run on Win10.

Did you actually check your character's ages? There are traps that, if triggered, will make an entire year pass in an instant, and if you hit too many of them, your characters may have aged too much naturally.

If this has happened, the only fix is to hex edit your save. Find the year in the save file, then edit it to be a lower number, like 18 years after the birthdates of your character. (A character who's younger than 18 will also suffer severe stat penalties.) (As usual, backup your save before you try hex editing it.)

Yes, I did. All characters are age 23, as mentioned, the age isn't the issue. My Knight has Might, Endurance, Accuracy, Personality and Intelligence all at 3. Same for the the Paladin and two other characters. Something seems to have corrupted the save file, I can't think of anything in-game that would do this.

You did not previously state the in-game age. You stated you tried the Fountain of Youth, to no effect. dtgreene warned that there are ways to have characters be very old such that the Fountain of Youth has no effect, since it only cures magical aging. If the game world's time advanced substantially, that would be natural aging, and not curable. If the character's age is reported as 23, this is probably not the explanation, but dtgreene did not have that detail when answering you.

Can you post a screenshot of the statistics of an affected character, and of the current game time?

In short, if you have already completed the maze from hell and then sit on the thrones in the dungeon's final rooom, your characters gain 20 levels, but your attributes are reduced to 3. Maybe this is what happened?
