How different is it from poison? I'd like to test it but can't find a place where you can get diseased...
I believe that disease prevents you from regaining MP, even when resting.

Thaks. You mean hit points by MP, right?

EDIT:
I checked MM1 and it seems that there disease prevents you from HP when resting. (But you can still use spells to heal).
Poison on the other hand lets you regain HP when resting but drops your max HP by half.

Actually I meant magic points... but I forgot that they're called Spell Points in the MM games so they should be abbreviated SP.

Maybe disease prevents you from regaining both HP and SP when resting? I was pretty sure that when my characters were diseased in MM2 they did not recover SP when resting, but it's possible that it was just HP and I'm not remembering correctly.

Checked MM1, and you're right. Prevents you from regaining both HP and SP.
(might make it difficult if your last cleric is out of SPs... and not enough gold for temples)

Strange that you can't get diseased easily in MM2.
