I'm currently trying to find the 4 talons which are located in 4 different elemental planes.
I've got all the discs already and managed to get the water and the fire ones replaced with the talons.

I'm not quite sure how I did that but I can't achieve the same with the remaining 2 discs because I constantly get teleported back to (0,0) in the respective planes.

Is there some trick to moving around on the elemental planes? I tried levitation but it didn't help, neither did jumping nor teleportation.

were you using the transformation spells for the element zone you were attempting to explore?

Yeah!
What I do is I go to Pinehurst to use the time machine -- this teleports me to the spot where the entrance to a chosen elemental plane is. Once there, I use the appropriate spell and enter the plane. I am usually able to walk around for a short while but then get teleported to (0,0).

Turning around or checking the map also can randomly teleport me to (0,0).

Once there, I can go a few steps up or right but get randomly teleported to (0,0) so it's really difficult to get to a pedestal.

try casting it again occasionally
maybe whats happening is the spell is wearing off
causing you to be booted from the plane

i think that's what i ended up having to do to get them talons

Nope, I'm 100% sure I'm still on the plane -- if I manage to walk all the way to the edge of the screen I get moved to the other side of the map.

Eventually I managed to get to the appropriate fields by just brute-forcing it and keeping on going but I'd love to know how to do it properly.

that could be possible esp if one of the people with the skill were KO or dead
since incapacitated peeps skills wont count
