Hello,

I am a little stuck in MM2. I have been trying to figure out what needs to be done by googling and looking at walkthrough, but so far no luck.

So, I have a quest from Castle Woodhaven. When I go see it's king (Hoardall?) I get:
<Your party has already been quested to seek out the Foot soldier. Begone until you have completed your quest.>

So, I am not sure what I am supposed to do. Along the way while playing, I fought a couple of foot soldiers, but it doesn't look like it was the right ones.
Am I supposed to look for foot soldiers in the castle? Or just fight a specific stack somewhere?

Thanks for any help/

The quests that you get from Lord Hoardall in Woodhaven and Lord Slayer in the castle to the south (I forget what it's called) are randomized, and you can only have one of them at a time. Hoardall will ask you to find a specific item for him. Slayer will ask you to kill a specific enemy. If you have received a quest to kill a footsoldier from Lord Slayer, and you have done so, return to Lord Slayer for your reward. This will then clear you of the quest, and you can either accept another quest from Slayer or get one from Hoardall.

When you get quests from Slayer and Hoardall, they ask which difficulty you want. The first three difficulty levels are standard, randomized quests like I described, and you can do as many as you want. The hardest quest, however, can only be done once in each case. These are a good idea to do when you feel strong enough as they have pretty good rewards.

If you ever want to cancel one of the quests, poke around either of the castles and you can stumble upon some guards that will sell you a quest removal elixir. If you buy it, it will remove the quest, and then you can accept another one. This can be especially useful if Hoardall asks for an extremely rare item or something. I generally found Slayer's quests to be easier as you will often know of a specific place where you can find the monster in question, whereas most items are random rewards after fights and it can be much harder to find a specific one.
Thanks for the clarifications, that was very useful.
You were absolutely right.

Thanks!
