My level 10 cleric has to way to cure petrification yet.

Until I learn Stone to Flesh, how do I deal with Basilisks, Medusas and the like? I have to reload the game everytime one of my party member gets stoned. Very annoying.

I noticed there is a lev 6 wizard spell called Protection from Magic (that I can't cast yet), does this one help?

Anyway, pretty stupid of the designer to have such a common status ailment require a high level spell to cure it...

Did you try getting cured in a temple ?

IIRC there is a shop in town 2 or 5 that sells an oil that cures petrification. But until you have access to the stone to flesh spell, I'd just avoid the areas where there are medusae and basilisks.

Like the above said. Avoid areas - worst case use temple.
