I just decided to reinstall MM6 on my laptop. It loads fine and plays the intro movie but when I get to the start up screen it will not let me click the buttons for new, load, options or quit. The cursor stays as an arrow and does not change to the finger. I've tried right and left clicking. I've tried moving my mouse slowly around the whole screen in case the alignment was off, no luck.

I'm running Ubuntu Mate 18.04 with an NVidia graphics card on wine 3.0.3. I have tried with grayface patch 2.1 and without, I've tried full screen and emulated desktop and I have enabled and disabled all the mouse options in wine config.

Right now I'm stumped. Open to anything that will point me in the right direction. Thanks!

EDIT: Having bought a USB mouse and plugged it in, I usually forget that my laptop has a touch-pad with left and right buttons. Does yours?

Thanks for the response. The last time I played MM6 was over a year ago . It was on the same laptop but running Ubuntu 16.04 at that time. I had no issues then. Yes the touch pad has left and right buttons, and I have tried clicking with both.
