In regards to MM6, how many skill points do you need to be able to be a MASTER
in that skill????

4 for air, spirit, light and dark magic
12 for fire, earth, water, mind and body magic
8 for most weapon skills (4 for ancient weapons)
10 for most armor skills (4 for plate)
7 for the other skills

When you find Expert trainers in a skill, they'll tell you where to find the Master trainer. Go find them and talk to them - they'll tell you the skill point (and oftentimes other - e.g. ability stats, promotion, reputation) requirement for Master trainer.
