Trying to start a game of Might and Magic 1. However, after making my characters, I am unable to add them to a party to go to the first inn and actually start playing. I make my characters, go to the character viewing screen and then try doing CTRL+1-6 for my characters, but no matter what I try to do they just don't get added in. I look for the @ symbol added in and it never is and if I just go the CTRL+1-6 and go to the inn it always says I don't have any adventurers in my party.

Bugged install? Wrong command for the GOG version? How do I add characters to my party?

Nevermind, I was reading "press '#' to be literal, rather than to enter a number of a town, like 1. Working now.

I had the exact same entrance and then accidentally pressed one... It all made sense
