I'm about to begin working my way through the Might and Magic series, starting with the first one. I've historically drawn maps by hand when playing old games, but I've noticed some of you seem to be using Excel for M&M due to its 16 x 16 grid style. I like this idea as I can play the game in a minimised window and have the map on the screen right next to it.
Can anyone give me some tips on how they make this work well before I start? Do you increase the size of the cells? Use colour coding? Use the comment feature to put notes? How do you connect the grids or do you just use a separate worksheet for each area? etc. etc.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. :)
