Can someone tell me how to get past the title screen for MM6 so I can go right
to playing the game????
I don't want to sit and wait for it to play each time.
I think this was solved in another thread:

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/might_and_magic_series/any_way_to_skip_the_introduction_video_to_might_and_magic_vi_im_using_windows_7
I read the post but don't really understand what to do.

Normally the game should allow you to skip intro after the first run. If it's not the case, you'll need to edit the registry. The post marked as the solution (basically what Waltorious wrote below) would work as well, but it would disable all movies in-game. Editing registry affects only the intro.

Step by step guide: +::image showing the steps::

- go to Menu Start, click on the Run... command** (#1)
- type regedit, click 'Ok' (#2)
- using the panel to the left, (#3) navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\<Wow6432Node>*\New World Computing\Might and Magic® VI\1.0
- click on that 1.0 (#4), you'll see couple of lines appear in the right panel
- double-click on the Ran once line (#5)
- in the window that appears change 'value data' from 0 to 1 (#6), click 'Ok'
- exit the Registry Editor

You should be now able to skip intro movie by pressing ESC key.

* Wow6432Node is present only in 64-bit Windows

** If you don't see the 'Run...' command:
1) right click on the Menu Start, choose 'Properties'
2) click on the 'Start Menu' tab, choose 'Customize...'
3) scroll down till you see 'Run command', tick the box next to it
4) click 'Ok', then 'Apply' and 'Ok'
5) the 'Run...' should now appear in the Menu Start

I assume you have been running the game by clicking on the desktop shorcut, right? So, you just need to right-click on that shorcut, and then pick "properties" on the menu that comes up. Now you'll have a panel with lots of options. There should be a box that says "target". In that box it will list the file that the shortcut is running... usually this is something like "C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Might & Magic Limited Edition\Might and Magic 6 - The Mandate of Heaven\MM6.exe". But it could be slightly different depending on where you installed the game. It should always end with a file called MM6.exe though. Anyway, what you want to do is go to the end of this "target" line, add a space, and then type "-nomovie". So the whole thing will now look like:

C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Might & Magic Limited Edition\Might and Magic 6 - The Mandate of Heaven\MM6.exe -nomovie

Make sure you click "OK" at the bottom after you do this. Then, when you run the game by double-clicking the shortcut, it should skip all the intro movies.
Sorry for the delay!!!!
I needed to get the game running on my laptop first.
The ESCAPE does work once you see the whole beginning movie once.
Thanks for the help everyone!!!!

Glad you got that to work.

Even though I didn't mark it as the answer to my question (I got a bit trigger happy before it was posted) using the registry editor and changing the ran once value to 1 is the best way to do it. After watching the intro once, you'll never be forced to watch it again which is nice.
