I am playing clouds of Xeen and I am close to the final battle. I am facing Xeens pet dragon.

For the life of me I can't beat him. Has anyone got any hints? My default players are on level 17 or so.

Thanks Pete
Have you cast "Day of Protection" and "Day of Sorcery"? They are pretty awesome buffing spells and make most fights a lot easier.

Also feel free to just teleport into Lord Xeen's room. From the stairs on that level, just turn right and have your Sorceror cast Teleport to a few squares ahead.

Although, if you're having trouble on the pet, then Lord Xeen is probably even harder. Don't want to get too spoilery but he can be pretty difficult.
Xeen's Pet is a dragon, and should be fought as such.

Unlike every other enemy in the dungeon, this enemy's attack is Acid elemental. Using a fountain to boost your Acid/Poison resistance will help. Also, so will casting Protection from Elements (Acid). (Make sure to cast it *after* Day of Protection.) This will help. Also, Teleport works here (allowing you to get into melee safely), or you could go to a certain hidden town and buy Implosion.

By the way, every other enemy in the dungeon deals Energy damage, so a fountain that grants Energy resistance is helpful here. AC is useless in this dungeon, so unequip any armor that provides only AC so it doesn't break.
Thanks alot for your help people... I DID IT. It took me all afternoon.
I tried teleporting straight to Xeen but ended up facing Xeen, his pet dragon and a guard too. So I cast Day of Protection and killed the pet with a PHYSICAL spell- starburst as energy did not seem to work.

Then rested, saved, cast day of protection again and walked backwards into Xeen. This mean that all my characters where alive when I killed him and got the XP. Which strangely was not enough to give me a day of training in Newcastle. Felt a bit ripped off with that.

Anyway on the M and M 5 now.

Thanks Pete
what i usually do is look at the door and turn around so its behind me and back up into the room

they don't "wake up" until you see them though doors and walls are disregarded for this effect so if you face something thats on the other side of a door/wall they will be awake when you go in where they are

that way you can fight the dragon without any other nearby enemies jumping in
not very realistic i know but it works
XD

anyway y'all may use or not use this effect as you will
just wanted for it to be known for any that didnt know
