Thanks again guys and a little help please?

Update;

Well it’s a bright Sunday morning on the 1st of January & after my second year down, my party is level 15 with the first Ranger and Sorcerer promotion quests under my belt... I did have to do a suicide run to get the arm away from those nasty magic fish guys but Que Sera, Sera.

Question: How do I get to the Evenmorn Islands (1st Druid Promotion) when none of the ships will take me?

p.s. In case it matters then I’m a child of the light.
Right. To get to Evenmorn Island, first you need a map. To get the map, start the first cleric promotion quest, which will lead you to Tidewater Caverns in Tatalia. The map is in a secret room in the ghost ship there. After you turn in the map, the ships sailing from Erathia, Tatalia, or the Tularean Forest will take you to Evenmorn Island, but only on Sundays. Hope that helps.
Might and Magic VI. The legacy and Xeen games are great, but M&M 6 is truely the high point of the series.

Can you post your opinion on why VI is better than VII? I haven't played VI, but when I heard about its huge dungeons and ridiculously large number of enemies you had to fight, I was put off and played VII instead.
FYI my party made it to the winds> Celeste but spare time has run out... overall this was a good game (for the money) and I'll come back to it after.

Thanks again for you help guys!

Might and Magic VI is superior to M&M 7 because 3DO choose to incorporate aspects of their Heroes of Might and Magic games. For me it just felt really cheesy. This is another reason why I (oddly enough) I really liked Might and Magic IX. Don't get me wrong, Might and Magic 7 is an excellent game by it's own merit. I'd like to mention one other thing, Might and Magic 6 was a radical departure from the "Xeen" games, having the ability to move in real-time as opposed to a grid-baded system was great, and being able to choose either between real-time or turn-based combat was awesome.

M&M6 is bigger, I think. At least, it feels bigger. I also get the sense that you have more freedom to go anywhere and do anything right from the start (even if you don't count the tutorial area in M&M7).

That said, I have to disagree with you on the HOMM integration stuff. I really enjoyed that aspect of the M&M7. M&M7 also has a little more replayability with the light vs. dark thing and a couple of extra classes to play with. Finally, I'd say that the story in M&M7 is a little more interesting than in M&M6.

But all in all they are both excellent games.
