Why iin this version the game has no achievements?

I wonder the same, in store page is written, that the game has them.

Because.

Just play the game and have fun.

I think whoever implemented the achievements for this game here messed up somehow .. hopefully they will get fixed soon.

Hi people.

All achievements' progress is tracked but they do not show up in the GOG Galaxy "My Progress" tab, until they have been unlocked.
The achievement list that includes both locked and unlcoked achievemnets is not visible the way it is intented to be on GOG Galaxy and the issue should be fixed after being reported to the GOG.com support team.

I can see the list of achievements already while still downloading.

can you unlock achievements, if you play the offline version without gog galaxy?

Achievements are available only through the GOG Galaxy client.

Why do you want online features if you play offline version?

I unlocked all achievements except for 2, Galaxy client closed while I was playing and I didn't realize it
Not sure what I should do .. should I delete the save folder and start a new playthrough ?!!

Edit: yep that did it, got my last 2 achievements.

The sequel "Shadow of War" has just been released today, only now I noticed achievements aren't featured in it.
Wonder if they will be added later or not at all

GOG, will this get fixed?

The first game was affected by the phenomenon known as "invisible achievements": they were working, but you could only see the ones you unlocked. There is a simple option in the developers' backend that allows them to make them normally visible, so the problem was quickly fixed.

If Shadow of War has the same problem, all it would take is for someone to try to unlock an achievement, so we would know if they are invisible but working, or if they are just not there.

So far it is not the same, Mordor before its problem getting fixed did have "Achievements" in its "Game features" on its store page .. War doesn't have "Achievements" in its "Game features".
Remain to be see if they will add achievements to War or not.
