Shadow of War - For me this game is crashing my Memory. Every time after I played it, after I do my business and shut down the computer, the next morning, I cannot get my computer to boot up. The memory led on the motherboard is flashing and I had to press the reset button for the memory to clear it for the computer to boot up. The first time it happened a week back. The second time it happened yesterday after I played it the day before. After reading some stories, it seems it is bleeding into the RAM - filling it up without deleting. It is related to the stuttering happening for other players after they play for a long time. I am in the middle of testing if NOT playing solves my issues with my computer. If it does, it is a shame... I enjoyed the first game and wanted to enjoy this one as well... after playing for 8h it is hard not to continue/finish it...

I was about to make a post about this. My game started having bad hitching after unlocking the Slaughter Tribe and Online mission markers. My only assumption is that the game is continuously trying to connect to the servers and this is causing it to hitch a lot.
following up here.

I started a new game because the lag is unbearable. Not even going to the lowest possible settings is helping any so I decided to test out my theory. since the beginning of the game, it has ran perfectly fine and I even tried high settings. almost close to where you capture your first outpost and I will finally be able to confirm my suspicions.

update:
My game starts to really lag in Nurnen. I am almost tempted to give up on this game since it runs perfectly fine until I reach Nurnen and I haven't even unlocked the Online missions yet.

update 2: So I progressed through the game powering through the lag in Nurnen and have not encountered this issue anymore. I really think whoever was in charge of stripping the DRM from this game didn't fully test it because I have not had any issues in locations that do not have the online mission markers. I know it's only one location but it has essential missions like the fight pit that I've been using to level up my army and having to go there just to face the lag is not fun. That means I have to grind the Mirian (in-game currency) which sucks.

Is there a patch for this coming soon? I mean I am pretty sure they even shut down the online functionality on steam recently, so there is zero reason for them to avoid patching this out of the game being that they are a triple A company. Anyone have any recent news on this?

No patch is coming since the game is released on 2017. Monolith has stopped working on the game years ago.
Well, even a community made patch then would be acceptable. As mentioned THIS is a triple A gaming company. So even though THEY MAY of said they finished working on any patches...they are STILL making posts about it as up to a few weeks ago when I checked the ONLINE FUNCTIONALITY link from Gog. I have 45 years in the gaming industry (since its been a commercial thing). I have seen LOADS of games get updates and patches for things they said were too far gone to change. Plus they are still giving this game away and selling quite a few copies, so the cash is STILL flowing in, they also have A HOARDE of programmers usually at these big companies that are raking it in dollar wise...also how is it that you are ranked a NEW USER when you have been here for over a decade? I have 2 years or so in...does that mean I am going to have to wait another 15 years before I get past new user here? Haha, weird systems!

Which post are you talking about?. Well WB Bros. is known for abandoning their games after release. When Arkham Origins was released they were few game-breaking bugs but they did not fix majority of them. Even if the devs wants to fix them. The publishers should let them and give them budget.

I rarely come to GOG forums. I mostly prefer steam & it's forums.
