Edit: Just wanted to add, larger GOG installers that are made up of an executable and at least one BIN file offer the option of running a built-in checksum check during installation.

If you're downloading the offline installers from your browser, add .xml on the end of the download link. It'll contain an official server-side MD5 checksum of the file.
