The GOG game pages list the minimum system requirements as follows:

Metro 2033 Redux
Windows: OS: Windows Vista, 7 or 8 (64-bit only)
Processor: Dual Core CPU (2.2+ GHz Dual Core CPU or better)
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 10, Shader Model 4 compliant graphics cards (GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB, GeForce GTS 250, etc)
DirectX: Version 10
Hard Drive: 10 GB available space

Metro Last Light Redux
Windows: Windows Vista / 7 / 8 (64-bit only)
Processor: Dual Core CPU (2.2+ GHz Dual Core CPU or better)
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 10, Shader Model 4 compliant graphics cards (GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB, GeForce GTS 250, etc)
DirectX: Version 10
Hard Drive: 10 GB available space
Additional Notes: 64-bit only
Mouse, Keyboard

Dual cores for these games? Really? That would mean my aging machine can run these games as it is just above these minimum specs. I have played the original Metro 2033 on Steam (I think using medium settings but it was three years ago). I could have sworn when the original Last Light came out that my machine wasn't capable of running it, but these redux versions suggest otherwise (as I'd expect the redux versions to have higher requirements).

So, are these minimum requirements accurate?

korell: So, are these minimum requirements accurate?
Yes, if You want to play at 720p with all settings at minimum or medium.

Wether or not they are accurate, I can't say but they are official. Do bear in mind that while computer with minimium specs may be able to "run" it, you probably will experience low fps even on lowest settings (for example my laptop "can" play Wasteland 2, Dead state and others being barely over the requirements, but I had to set everything low and still only had around 20 fps, even below that in some areas of WL2 but, hey, I could play them). Metro's being first person shooters, you'll probably experience frame drops during high action sequences. As it's 3D game, the most improtant part affecting perfocmance will be your graphics card.

My system is:

Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16GHz dual core)
4GB RAM
GTX260 (with a bit of a factory overclock)
Vista Ultimate x64

So yes, it is a little bit above minimum specs. The main reason I asked if they were accurate spec, though, was that I'm sure when Last Light first came out I ruled it out as my system wasn't good enough. It is possible my memory is playing tricks on me, though, or that the specs were revised after launch.
They are acurate by definition, as you can choose running the game with 0.5xSSAA enabled in the menu
Jup, this means that if you chose 720P as a res your PC would only be calculating 640x360 and then upscale that stuff---yes, thats brutal, I know!
