is there a way I can tell the game to save to another location? (Ie: define it as D:/mysaves)

The game saves and I know where but the game cant apparently use its own save games. I always have to start from square one.

I have moved saves around, change permissions, followed about 9 different posts here, on steam, random sites, etc. They simply do not work.

I have seen this issue with a lot of games from Russian developers, I dont know why but it is what it is. Every single game in the Stalker series has the same exact problem but when I change the configuration files to point to the same drive I have the games on all the problems vanish(ie: change the fsgame.ltx file to point to d:/mysaves/stalkerfoo)

I highly suspect this game has the exact same problem.

And no its not me nor my system. ONLY these games have this issue and ONLY the change I made in the others fixed the problem.

Well, my save just disappeared suddenly. Though I run it via WINE / Proton on Linux, that did never happen with other Windows games.
