Hi, asking on behalf of another - has anyone had experience with Metro: Last Light save games corrupting?

My dad has gotten some way into the game, when something happened... In his words, something odd happened to a save game, and on load he was thrown forward in the game, beyond where he had played to. Now, even if he loads a previous chapter it will always load to this new position. I haven't played it yet, so here is his description of where he was up to prior to this glitch, "I was up to the crossing the open area for fuel in the crashed aircraft". Chapter 16, he thinks.

He's reinstalled the game, but still no Russian post-apocalypse love.

Metro 2033 ran perfectly fine on his system, and until this happened, Last Light was working flawlessly as well.

His computer is:
Win 7 Ultimate
i7-3770
8 GB RAM
2 TB WD Black HDD
470GTX w/ 1 GB VRAM

If anyone has an idea of how to correct this, or can share a save file, then would be most appreciated!
I have experienced similar behaviour, when choosing Chapters and Level, after choosing playstyle and difficulty, sometimes game loads completely different part of the game, like random mission from New Missions. Not the level one had chosen. Also Continue will , naturally, load the last random level/mission after that. And then, game just sorts itself out, and it functions as one would expect it to function.

Nevertheless, there is some randomly appearing bug, involving Metro Last Light, when it comes to loading levels.

Computer:
Windows 7 Professional
i7-3770k
32GB RAM
512 GB Samsung 850 PRO SSD
GTX 750 Ti 2GB

Hi, and sorry for the potential to necro a dwarf thread and for the very late reply - I've been away from the forum for several months it would seem!. Anyway, thank you for you responding and at least letting me know this isn't unique! My dad will just have to work on it when he gets back around to playing the game again.
