I'm actually Kind of shocked that Totalbiscuit didn't notice this, during his video on the Metro games. Anyway here are three buyer beware issues I had just deserved while finally got around to checking this game out. I don't regret buying it but I hope these get fixed at some point.

1. Poor FOV. This might be a deliberate decision from the devs for the atmosphere but it gives me a headache and makes it hard to aim.

2. Mouse X and Y out of sync. Another thing that makes it hard to aim is the X axis being what feels like at least 3x faster then Y. There's no way to change this. It's a carry over from the console days.

3. Aspect ratio. Do not play this game under any aspect ration expect for 16:9 you will get distortion if you do. It's like with some of those old games from the 90s that can only be played at 4:3 but this game is too new for that kind of thing.
First issue can be fixed via altering of the user.cfg file, there are a couple threads already on this. I think why it could go overlooked is due to the game's innately claustrophobic nature, you can't tell the FOV is 50 when you are staring down a tunnel. 70 is actually pretty good for this game, even at that tho, a lot of effects (and the arm models) are based around the FOV, so expect strange behavior.

I found the strange sensitivity actually quite easy to control, but if it's not your cup of tea, there are a great deal more sensitivity options in the same cfg file that the FOV is in. May not be of use tho, I have not messed around with it.

No idea how you would fix the distortion, if you even can.

Best of luck and all that.
