EDIT: Fuck it, I found out on my own.
I keep finding these keys in Metro 2033 Redux. They look like keys (duh) with a red band that shines brighter than anything in the world so they aren't really that hard to find. You just have to travel off your linear path sometimes to find them. Sometimes the band can be yellow. Anyhow, I still haven't found anything to use them on.
What are they for really? Are they even keys to begin with? It sure looks like it.
