To cut it short: I'm going to purchase only if I'm assured that this release ISN'T bug free!

Don't know, but it's sure like hell that game was released fubar and Devs haven't found a solution yet!

You still have to disable aim assist via config files and I haven't found the line for changing fov.
Haven't noticed any bugs yet.

I tried this game on a machine with a Zotac GTX 960 (and a GT 730 for Physx), core i3 4160 and 2x4GB HyperX 1866 on a Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 mobo without any problem...

So far, so good... Fingers crossed, it seems REALLY bug free!!!
Let's see what happens when I arrive at level 4 of the game...

I'm about 5hrs into the game and the only thing I've noticed was some texture filtering issues early on. Other than that I've encountered no crashes or anything.

Runs great, plays great.

I asked this in its own thread (sorry about that) but no one answered, so since you were playing the game recently I was wondering if you could tell me how bad the head bobbing was in this game? From the videos, it seemed severe enough to get me a little nauseous just from the video.

Can you turn it off? Have you noticed if it bothers you at all?

IMO the head bobbing is very minimal. I didn't even notice it. It's not like some games where the screen will be moving up and down. To me it just felt like normal walking/running, what you'd expect IRL. It's almost like the camera kind of shifts from left to right slightly then add in the gun swaying when you move. Those two combined give off more of a body movement effect. I did notice the camera swaying became more prevalent along with the weapon swaying while sprinting; with no FOV increase. So that might be a little jarring. Also, there was no option to toggle it on/off.

For what it's worth, I'm one of those people that will become nauseous if the FOV is too low etc... and I've not experienced that with LL Redux. Your best bet would be to look for a high quality let's play on YouTube and watch a little bit from the mid way point in the game to get an idea of how it's going to affect you. But IMO, you will probably be OK.

Edit: here's a good video. It's in german and about 2-3hrs in to the story, so unless you speak german you will be ok for any spoilers. Make sure to watch with 60fps.

Three hours of gameplay so far: no glitches, no bugs, no screens of Death... nothing!
So I stick to my opinion which I wrote several times in "the other" platform's forum: DRM ARE A CANCER!

Too much of a coincidence this game is released DRM free and it never crashes... Don't you think?

I wonder if the Developers read all complains and messages of several customers who paid for a working game months ago and had to - I will say it - use a "modified" exe in order to simply have their PAID game working!

Kudos to GOG Team for releasing this wonderful game DRM free!

One thing to keep in mind; if the videos are making you have some motion sickness, try watching it without the 60fps option. I've noticed on YouTube that unless the source material is a steady 60fps, the YouTube player uses some sort of 'true motion" (like those HDTVs with fake 120Hz). That alone can make me feel nauseous sometimes.

There are also ways to increase the FOV by editing config files. I'll leave that to you though because the Metro games use a vertical FOV instead of horizontal, so YMMV with that. I.E. Setting a vertical FOV of 59 gives you ~90 FOV horizontal @ 1080p. When a game uses a vertical FOV it's usually better to leave it be, or only slightly increase it because it can start creating other unwanted issues.

Thanks again for the follow-up. Unfortunately, for me, the FOV is normally not an issue, but the amount of control taken away in animations. For example, in games that constantly take away your control to show an animation of you opening a door, climbing a ladder, etc., those games will often make me very nauseous very quickly. The head bobbing here is minimal but it's enough to be an issue unfortunately. I probably won't be able to get this one. =( Thanks again for all of your tips though! =)

I'm currently playing this too.
Had 1 major bug so far, a CTD after I went through the ventilator when escaping from the commies.
That CTD broke the autosave somehow, so I couldn't continue as continue caused a CTD.
Fortunately I was able to reload the last chapter, though it meant I had to replay a small part of the game.

More than half trough it, Ranger/Survival mode, not a single bug.

Not enjoying it at all. My PC can handle this without breaking a sweat, that's not the issue, but I'm experiencing random crashes/freezes - the only way fix this is to push the bloody reset button. Had to reload a checkpoint multiple times because I couldn't take off the night-vision goggles. Sometimes pressing button to bring up the lighter simply won't work.
Other than that; weak-arse weaponry, bullet sponge enemies (especially the mutants) with laggy death animations, serious clipping issues, pish-easy stealth, the inability to carry a proper knife and overall dumbed down and streamlined gameplay mechanics continue to grind my gears. It's an unnecessary sequel tailor-made for a mainstream FPS audience, that much is clear, but above all it's a bad fucking game. Yeah, it's got pretty shiny bling bling graphics and fairly smooth controls (well, when they do work) but the total package pales greatly in comparison to the original.
