So I've just emerged from the underground for the first time, and am standing in a snowy surface area surrounded by ruins, with milady standing behind me. But I *cannot* figure out how to proceed?? In most directions there is a large chasm, if I fall in I just drown... there are a couple of places where there are wrecked buses or such, which *look* like I could cross the chasm by climbing on them, but no matter how I try, I don't seem to be able to successfully jump on them... so I'm just wandering around this little area, burning through my air filters... what am I missing??

BTW, should I have a map? Did I miss that somewhere, or is that later, after I solve this intro puzzle?

It's been a while, but from what I remember, once you get above ground, you move forward in the direction it faces you in. It'll look like you can't, but there's an area where I believe you can jump down and walk around.

It's a little difficult to see, but it's there. Also, the map is a hotkey in this game, I want to say either Tab or M.
