I figure we were actually a bit stupid.

The trailer that GOG put up for Last Light was the "Redux" trailer for both games... if they had known for sure they'd never sell the Redux bundle they would have used a Last Light only video I guess.

Instant buy, now I have both DRM-Free! Just sucks I already had them both on Steam and the originals. I'm reluctant to buy anything unless it's DRM-Free anymore. I have access to 500+ games on Steam, but don't feel like I actually own them unlike my DRM-Free games from GOG or Humble. :)

This is one instance where in retrospective I'm thankful for my boycott of Steam titles ;)

I've literally wanted to play Metro 2033 for years. But I didn't buy it or the second one because of the Steam requirement.

So while I hated waiting, now I get to experience the much improved Redux versions for less than a quarter of the price of the two original titles...

I am in the same boat as you rscolonel. I don't do steam so I had given up ever playing the game. Have followed the Fallout series since it came about, but have not played NV because of the steam requirement. Maybe one of these days ( if I am still alive ) we will be able to get all of them on GOG.
