Hi all,

Just would like GOG to be aware that I believe saving user-specific files in the actual game installation directory is considered bad practice.

Not only because it's bad for multiple users on same PC, but also for people like me who backup their \documents and other user-related files regularly from the standardized places in Windows.

Not sure why GOG is doing such a "hackjob" when there's a perfectly usable 4A Games\Metro Exodus folder in the user directory \documents.

Save game locations is not GOGs responsibility. GOG merely sell the game. The workings of the game is the developer.

Oh god. I hate it when games save into 'My Documents' (somewhere, as it varies) or 'User/app date/local' etc etc.

I much prefer it when a game keeps ALL it's important files within it's install directory path, it is so much easier to keep track and find saves, screenshots etc.

Lol so basically the exact opposite of your own opinion here RSColonel_131st ;)

Now i could be ok with saves being outside the install directory IF every developer used exactly the same location, but they don't, so yeah.....
Yeah, having Gamesaves in Gamefolder location can be quite nasty sometimes.
I want all my Data on C and have my Games on D an E drives. so when i want to uninstall a game quickly i simply delete the folder. Bye Bye Savegames.
