Is there any fix to this? I downloaded the widescreen fix from pcgamingwiki but the game never launches.

Just wanted to point out, the widescreen fix doesn't work. Tweak the executable settings within GOG. Change the resolution based on your monitor. Disable the 'Aspect Ratio' and vertical (not sure if this'll make a difference), and the game should now be in widescreen
