The game works fairly well in Wine 1.3.8, but I could not boost the texture resolution.

Secondly the game crashes when you quit, since you are leaving anyway is not a matter, but you might want to disable the wine crash dialog.

You can use winetricks or this .reg file.

I do not know if it is game related or wine related, but I could not skip the movies. If you want skip the starting movies you should delete those files inside the Messiah/pc directory:

interplay.mve
slogo.mve
ttslogo.mve

you might want to delete also intro.mve.
