I played through this game brand new. Interesting idea: Take control of characters by possessing them. This was useful when the characters were tough brutish guards and soldiers... but most of the time they were scientists or night shift security.
But the game fell flat on it's soft pink face when crash after crash made it near impossible to complete a level. Soon I was fighting the game rather than the characters in the game in order to win it.
Even at this price, pass.
So... Is it a two-star game because it crashed? Or because of the actual game?
I would imagine because of the bugs. I have the same issue with the game, although I rated the game 4 stars, because It is still a great, fun game. But like he said, littered with bugs.
It's funny, I just though abut it and the possession mechanics in this game would be really fun to base some sort of Pencil and Paper PRG around... That and/or Omikron, but I never played the full version of Omikron.
Does the GOG version of the game crash as much as the brand new game?
Were there any Patches released for it?
I'll look into it myself later, but my point is. Are we judging game performance based on bus of the release date or on performance based on the GOG.com release?
I remember playing this game in my school library when they first got the PCs and the teachers knew less about computers than most of the students. Someone installed a copy and I played one of the save games.
I think I liked it but it if it is BUG filled I might just pass

I think the GOG version is patched to the latest official patch. I have no idea if there were any community made patches for the game.
the game doesn't had that many bugs, it's normal that an old game can have problems operating under a new os like XP or Vista.
It's a great game, and if you don't accept the fact that to play old games you have to spent a bit of time configuring your system carefully, you really should leave GOG or at least don't do stupid reviews...
His point is valid. One of the selling points of GOG is that they patch in compatibility with modern OSs. You shouldn't have to configure your system to play it if true compatibility has been added.
