I want to try that patch that this installer is supposedly packed with but evidently isn't.

I found a no-cd crack for it and I can play the game with the messiah3dfx.exe but only in safe mode which mean no sound. D3D version gives a black screen as usual.

edit:I found the patch at patches scrolls. The setup is broken so how do I extract the files?

I think the game is actually patched, but does not contain the 3DFx executable.

As for the patch, it seems it can't find the game (path issue?), but it's just a container, right-click it and "unzip" it with an appropriate software (7zip for example). Grab the Glide3x executable and put it in the game directory.

Then launch the game from this file, preferably setting compatibility to 98 + Admin mode (it might help for sound issues). The game will have some difficulty finding the CD though, you will be able to play, but with 3 errors at launch (just click OK), and some in-game (turn CD audio on/off/on in the options in this case). Also, GlideWrapper seems to provide the best performance at the moment, but I can't find a way to keep the aspect ratio. nGlide is a bit tricky, may bug and can have performance issue in its current version.

That is because of the -s switch in the save shortcut. Delete this and you will be fine with sound.

As for the installer, you might have to delete IsUinst.exe under Windows directory for it to work.
