Even though I'm playing this on xp when its really for other operating systems. I read others who also played it on xp had no problems with it. Ok, so I keep getting Runtime error, specifically:

"Microsoft visual c++ runtime error

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way"

I had runtime error occur when I played syberia (crashed when trying to listen to the cylinder) and the problem was fixed when I followed the instructions to move some files around. Is there anything similar I can do with this game?

Should I try running it in clean boot mode (whatever that is:) ?

btw I reinstalled it and ran the check for file corruption thingy. I also did the disc optimisation thing on my computer, did not help.
