Anyone else have issues with this one? It starts, plays the videos, options screen, etc, but crashes on game start with a VC++ runtime error which, unfortunately, isn't visible.

What kind of applications you have running in the background? VC++ is usually caused by programs clashing with each other.

Unfortunately details were hard to come by, but it appears to be colliding with Explorer.exe (desktop) itself. It took a couple of iterations, but I found that with moving all the VC runtime files (MSVC*.) into a /TEMP subdir where they wouldn't be found, then my existing versions were loaded and it appears to run fine now.
