If you play the game, you'll notice the sound lacks brightness compared to modern songs.
Ignoring the arrangements of the 90's, the sound is all set to be emulated to 22050Khz,
that's HALF of the CD quality sound frequency spectrum. If you want to fix this just open
the dosboxmegarace.conf with notepad (may have to open the file as the Administrator!)
and change the lines:
rate=22050 --> rate=44100
oplrate=22050 --> oplrate=44100
gusrate=22050 --> gusrate=44100
pcrate=22050 --> pcrate=44100
tandyrate=22050 --> tandyrate=44100
PS.:Some of these (like 'tandyrate' and 'gusrate') won't make a difference as they aren't being used but it's good to change them to be consistent all around)
PS2.: If you know what is the output of your soundcard, you can set 2250 to whatever the value you normally use, like 48000, 88200, 96000, 176400 or even 192000!
