I encountered a 1000 reputation loss upon waking up to the first day of Fall. I do not know why. At first I thought it was because I failed to complete a quest in Hornica. But I reloaded a save and completed that quest. And alas, I still recieved the reputation deduction.

Note that this happened a few years after I reached 10,000 reputation.

Does anyone have any idea why this happens apart from the game being incomplete and semi-broken?

Hey everyone, so I figured out that the reason I was loosing reputation per season was because I hadn't paid a debt I owed to the castallen. In order to due this you can visit the Castellan during any season and there should be an option to pay that off. Good thing this wasnt a bug after all.

I have this in one of my villages too, it can happen because of updates. No surprise, this game is early access. If you want, use a save. At your owne risk of course but for me this one worked without problems: https://www.saveeditonline.com/
