If you (me) are industrious and get your buildings up and start moving people in, will the quests farther down the line that require these buildings to be built actually acknowledge them or will I have to build them again to get credit?

Hi, here is an answer to this from some discord user / MD supporter:

"there are no quests that ask you to build a building, but to own one. So yes they will count"

Can confirm, having the buildings already built will cause the quests to skip those parts.
