Pseudocreobotra: I have the same problem.
My graphic card drivers are up to date and the config isn't working, too.

I've had the same problem with Elite Force II, which I was only able to run on the lowest resolution.

Here is my sytem if this helps:

HP Compaq 6715s
CPU: AMD Turion X2 TL-58 @ 1.90GHz
RAM: 2GB
Graphics: ATI Radeon X1200 Series (shared graphics)
Win Vista

Every help is really appreciated.
